Machine-to-Machine Intelligence (M2MINT™) is an independent research initiative developed by Ziya Gokalp to examine emerging intelligence and counterintelligence relationships among autonomous and semi-autonomous artificial agents.

The research explores a future in which artificial intelligence systems may function not only as intelligence tools, but also as intelligence actors and intelligence targets.

Rather than focusing solely on communication or data exchange between machines, M2MINT™ investigates how artificial agents may systematically observe, probe, profile, model, predict, and adapt to other artificial agents, and how targeted systems may detect and respond to such activity through machine counterintelligence mechanisms.

The research introduces and develops a conceptual architecture that includes Machine Intelligence Target Surface (MITS), Behavioural Intelligence Model (BIM), Machine Espionage, Machine Counterintelligence (MCI), and Autonomous Intelligence Competition (AIC).

M2MINT™ is intended as a foundation for further interdisciplinary research across Intelligence Studies, Counterintelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Security Studies, and AI Governance.

RESEARCH STATUS

M2MINT™ is an evolving conceptual research framework. It does not assume that the intelligence and counterintelligence relationships described within the framework currently constitute an established or mature operational discipline.

The research is intended to provide a structured vocabulary and analytical foundation for examining how such relationships may emerge as artificial agents become increasingly autonomous, adaptive, interconnected, and capable of interacting with other artificial systems.

Future development of the framework may incorporate further theoretical refinement, empirical research, interdisciplinary analysis, and academic review.
